Marriage visa FAQ
Does it work for Thai husbands too?
Yes. The marriage route is for any foreigner legally married to a Thai citizen, whether you are the husband or the wife. Some details differ depending on whose income or savings are used, so we check your case before you apply.
We married outside Thailand. What first?
Your foreign marriage certificate is legalised, translated into Thai and then registered at a Thai district office before it can support a visa application. This can take several weeks, so it is the first thing we check.
Will immigration visit our home?
Possibly. Officers may visit unannounced, ask for photos of you both inside and outside your home, and interview you both. We tell you what they check, so you are ready.
Can I work on a marriage visa?
Yes, with a separate work permit. The marriage visa allows you to apply for one, but you cannot start work until the permit is issued.
Bring your spouse — we’ll speak Thai with them and English with you.
Marriage visa packages at a fixed fee, agreed in writing before any work begins.
